I am one of the very fortunate people that resides in Bali for more
months of the year than
most of us would dream of and wow, what a place!
My love and passion of this beautiful, crazy and spiritual island,
also led me to my wonderful husband, Eko.Together we have worked hand in
hand growing our business here in Australia and overseas, with the
support and never ending talent of the local skilled craftspeople, from
both Bali and it’s surrounding Islands. Each Island has it’s own
individual crafts and it is these crafts and skills that we continually
develop into our product mix.
Here at Carina Sherlock, we are continually endeavoring to perfect
and create the latest and most environmentally friendly products. Part
of this process includes trialing new eco friendly paint finishes and
techniques and finding quality raw products that come from sustainable
and renewable sources thus we are not only creating a practical and
beautiful product for your home, but giving our products an identity and
overall, a strong company ethos.
The other major strength of our company is one that Eko and myself
are very passionate about, and that is, to give back more than we take
from the craftspeople who support and help us in the development of the
Carina Sherlock brand. Over the years it has been important to us that
we can help these people, not only by supplying them with work but
supporting them and their children’s education and health when needed.
Eko and myself are privileged to contribute to the many
re-developments of land lost that has been destroyed by the multi
nationals. Over the last ten years,
I have lost track of how many tens of thousands of trees have been
planted in these areas, Mahogany, Teak, and Mangrove Tree. We are very
proud that we can contribute to all of these re-development projects and
it is with a percentage of our sales from Australia and overseas that
has made this possible.
We would like you to think about every product you purchase from us
at Carina Sherlock helps support over 1000 village craftspeople in Bali.
This is our contribution to these incredible people, who are not as
fortunate as we are.
